Its about time that USB slot got faster, file transferring should not be so time consuming. With the new USB 3.1 it doubles the speed of 3.0 while still compatible on the 3.0 ports. While there are still faster soloutions such as Intel’s thunderbolt going at 20 Gpbs, more computers support the USB format.
